Moving Home with Sky – My experience – Day 8

So yesterday my free Vodafone Dongle arrived from Sky, loaded with £30 of credit for use while our internet connection was down. The request to cease my services is going through now, so in 1-2 days my service will stop. As we’re moving on Monday – it’s not too much of a trauma! My contact at Sky has been fantastic, he’s got a chap booked for me next Tuesday to install the service at the new house, and also sorted out a free Multi-Room box for the bedroom ‘as compensation’, which is fantastic. He is going to get onto activating the telephone line at the house on Saturday so hopefully the downtime there will be minimal (fingers crossed!). He has promised that he’ll do his best to make the downtime as short as possible.

So all is looking fine and dandy!
