Our son is a bit annoying, he really struggles to doze anywhere other than somewhere dark, even the street lights on the motorway coming through the window will wake him up. We’d mused about getting the windows tinted in the new car, but tinting is expensive if you want it done well. Plus, once it’s done it’s a pain to remove it, I would be ideal to have something the reduces the light coming in to the car, but something that could be removed easily. Of course you can get those stick on sun shades, but they are a bit crap.

After a bit of Googling, I found you can get custom fit sunshades for a wide range of cars. They clip in with a few clips, and can be removed quickly and easily should you need to. As the site in question was having a sale on them, I thought I’d give them a bit of a punt, and they arrived today.

They come in a bag, so you can store them if you remove them, with a selection of clips. The instructions were a bit vague and the pictures not entirely clear, but thankfully when you’re looking at the shades and the clips, it all sort of makes sense. It took my about 10 minutes to fit them all, and the results are actually very impressive.

The view from inside looking out is good too, not at all restricted, just a bit darker than normal!

Looking forward to seeing how these perform in the blazing hot sun (when we get it!), but I’m pleased so far!
