It had to happen sooner or later, I’ve been driving since I was 17 (so 1998) and I’ve never got a parking ticket (actually I got one incorrectly once!), I’ve only got one speeding ticket too (in 1999). So I’ve done well.
Today though, I got my first ever Penalty Charge Notice from Chelmsford City Council. It was a fair cop, I was parked on some Double Yellows – can’t really argue – I was ‘observed’ for 5 minutes. So. Meh. It’s £35 I don’t want to spend – BUT – it’s my fault!
The traffic warden was very kind and polite, and when you know you’re in the wrong – it’s difficult to argue!
One ticket every 15 years isn’t bad really. Is it?
How many have you lot accrued in your driving careers?
