The wizards at Old El Paso have solved a problem that Taco eaters will often encounter, the U-shaped nature of them means that the contents will often plop out of the other side as you munch down it – thankfully – with the brand new Old El Paso Stand ‘N’ Stuff Soft Tacos this problem is no more!

A selection of Bloggers were invited to the Underground Cookery School to celebrate the launch of the Old El Paso Stand ‘N’ Stuff Soft Tacos.

The format of the evening was simple, we’d learn to create three fabulous courses with the fantastic chefs at the Cookery School, and then sit around the table and feast on our creations! The main course and star of the show was the Old El Paso Stand ‘N’ Stuff Soft Tacos (although the Chocolate Torte we made was exquisite), the idea is to get the family stuffing their Tacos at the table. The clever ‘boat’ shape of them means that they don’t topple over as you fill, or spill out as you eat, meaning they are great for even the littlest of dinner guests.

They come in three different meal kits, with three distinct tastes, Smoky BBQ, Garlic and Paprika and the family friendly Extra Mild. The meal kits all recommend you cook the spice mix with 500g of Mince – being a vegetarian I’ve tried both Quorn Mince, and Tesco’s Soya Mince, and garnishing with lettuce and tomato. When I tried making them, I chucked slice onion and peppers into the mix, and served with Jalapeños, Soured Cream and Guacamole – they were AMAZING (if I do say so myself!)

When we made the Old El Paso Stand ‘N’ Stuff Soft Tacos at the Underground Cookery School the meat eaters used chicken strips instead of Beef Mince, and the veggies had Cauliflower, Peppers and Onion, which was a fantastic, healthy alternative.

I’m a massive fan of Mexican food and I really think that the Old El Paso Stand ‘N’ Stuff Soft Tacos are a fantastic addition to the other meal kits you can get, I’m looking forward to testing the Extra Mild version with the Mossters and watching them stuff the Tacos how they want them!
