I’m a firm believer that people can change – over the years your tastes and opinions can become different, sometimes in seconds, others over a period of time. Probably about 9 years ago where I wouldn’t go near a mug of coffee, the taste repulsed me, but now – I’m a coffee drinking fiend. Something just changed in my mind one day, and that was that.

The other day, I found myself sat infront of the TV, shouting at it, feeling a range of emotions that I didn’t think I could feel for what I was watching – then it dawned on me..

I *really* like football.

This is a big thing for me, I’ve never had an interest in any sport, it’s just not really registered with me.

Over the past year my interest in football has just grown – it’s probably no coincidence because Miss A is a big West Ham fan, she took me to my first game earlier in the year. I’ve just found myself getting more and more drawn in to it as the season progressed, when I’ve not been able to watch the games – I’ve kept up to date on my phone, listening to the radio, or watching Soccer Saturday on Now TV (definitely not hunting down illegal streams!).

It’s just a shame my interest has piqued at the end of the season, but I’m excited for the new season starting at the Olympic Stadium, and hopefully seeing a few more games ‘live’. It’s strange how this has suddenly crept up on me, but I’m glad it has!

Come on you Irons!
