I squealed with excitement when a press release hit my inbox this morning.

Alton Towers to open CBeebies Land Hotel

If you’ve not been to the Resort lately, you might not know, but there is a LOT of building work happening between the Alton Towers Hotel and the Enchanted Village. It was rumoured to be a simple extension of the popular Alton Towers Hotel. Instead it’s a brand new Hotel in it’s own right! The CBeebies Land Hotel will open in Summer 2017.

Following the launch of CBeebies Land in 2014, Alton Towers Resort is to open the first ever CBeebies Land Hotel. Designed exclusively for young families and pre-schoolers. Bursting with music, stories and adventures, the colourful world of the CBeebies Land Hotel will be home to unrivalled family entertainment. The fantastically themed hotel bedrooms will feature the CBeebies Bugbies, Something Special, Swashbuckle and more to be announced.

So – what do we know so far?

It will have 76 rooms, across four floors – with it’s own dedicated entertainment area, and restaurant. On arrival at the CBeebies Land Hotel entrance, guests will be greeted by the CBeebies Land plane and a brightly coloured lit rainbow archway. It will have a dedicated reception area which includes a CBeebies Bugbie storybook feature with interactive audio and lighting. Of course a whole host of CBeebies characters will be roaming the hotel, ready to meet the young guests.

The Bedrooms sound AMAZING!

All rooms in the CBeebies Land Hotel are designed with a separate area for children and parents and include a children’s entertainment wall with interactive play items such as activity tables for drawing and playing. Thankfully, larger families won’t be forgotten – With a range of rooms designed to sleep up to seven people.

CBeebies Bugbies will adorn the standard rooms. Premium rooms will have a variety of themes including Something Special, Swashbuckle and more. In keeping with the design aimed at young children, every room will have toddler friendly features such as bathroom steps to the sink, children’s toilet seats, baby baths and a cot. The hotel will also house 5 fully accessible rooms which have been designed to take into account the needs of those with special requirements.

“The CBeebies Land Hotel is a hugely exciting new development for us and there will be nowhere else like it! With an existing range of unique accommodation and the amazing CBeebies Land already here at the Resort. Combining the two is going to create a fully themed hotel experience where everything is exclusively designed for young families.”
Gill Riley – Marketing director at Alton Towers Resort

On top of this, for 2017, CBeebies Land in Alton Towers is having some new attractions added to the already excellent line-up. They really are positioning themselves as a great place for pre-schoolers and little folk!

How does it look?

There aren’t any official photos or renders of the new rooms available at time of writing. Below are some images of the Postman Pat themed rooms within the Alton Towers Hotel. These give you some idea of the level of theming you’ll see!

I’m very excited by the prospect of staying here, It sounds perfect for families with youngsters! If you want to find out more, Alton Towers have a page to sign up for more info on the CBeebies Land Hotel. Go here to sign up!
