Fans of the Great British Bake off (like me) will have to wait longer for the 2016 series. Sad times – but it’s all because of the 2016 Olympics dominating the summer schedule. To help mourn these sad times, and give us a SLICE of the action, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort have built – The Great Brickish Bake Off!

The Great Brickish Bake Off is a 12,186 brick replica of the iconic set. Complete with stunning 6cm REAL versions of all six winner’s showstopping cakes cooked up in minute detail! It took the Resort’s talented Model Making team 86 hours to build! Visitors can see the main Great British Bake Off tent plus the judging tent. As well as 11cm high LEGO recreations of comical presenting duo Mel and Sue, judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, and all previous winners.

The team has paid close attention to detail and inside the tent are LEGO workstations, judging table and culinary gizmos galore!

But that’s not all!

When the 2016 series starts they will add LEGO recreations of the contestants to the scene, and remove one each week to mirror the results on screen! How awesome is that?!

“The Great British Bake Off has become such a British institution, so we wanted to celebrate the summer and bring it to life in Miniland,” commented PR Manager Lauren Moss. “This morning to celebrate the opening, we have put REAL miniature recreations of past showstoppers on display commissioned by the astonishingly talented culinary outfit, The Tattooed Bakers. It is amazing how much detail has been captured at 6cm high!”

I’m looking forward to seeing this when I take my next trip to the Resort. Remember it’s always better value to book in advance – do that by clicking here!

What other TV Shows would you like to see ‘LEGOed’ like The Great Brickish Bake Off? I vote for Red (Brick) Dwarf!
