Last, but certainly not least in our spooky round up from the Merlin Resorts is the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort ‘Brick or Treat’! Similar to Chessington, the offering at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is much more suited to a younger audience.

Frankie the Friendly Monster, Lord Vampyre and Orange Brick are back at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort from Monday 17 October until Saturday 5 November for the Resort’s hugely popular Brick or Treat season. As well as this, on the weekends during this time, there will be a fireworks spectacular themed around the exciting LEGO NEXO Knights will be exploding over the night skies. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing fireworks at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort before, and they are fantastic. This year’s fireworks promise to be truly magical. Expect magnificent pyrotechnics perfectly choreographed to a dynamic soundtrack in a truly memorable display.

World's smallest pumpkin patch featuring miniature carvings pops up in Miniland at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.
World’s smallest pumpkin patch featuring miniature carvings pops up in Miniland at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

The famous Miniland at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is home to perfect, miniature recreations of some of the world’s most famous buildings, landscapes AND now the world’s smallest pumpkin patch* which popped up yesterday in the shadow of Stonehenge. The unique Halloween harvest scene features more than 200 teeny 3cm tall pumpkins including a batch specially carved as miniscule jack-o-lanterns by renowned Miniature Artist Hedley Wiggan.

The tiny jack-o-lanterns are decorated with minute Minifigure monster faces and took Wiggan over 60 hours to carve. Using tiny specially modified tools including pins and scalpels. Lit from within like any good jack-o-lantern should be, guests can spot them in the midst of the pumpkin patch scene which also features hay bales, mini LEGO recreations of tractors, farmers and scarecrows. The scene took two of the Resort’s Model Makers 13 hours to build, using around 450 bricks.

Don’t miss out!

If you’re keen to see the Brick or Treat Fireworks on the 15th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th October and 5th November it’s recommended to book in advance here. I’m heading down with the kids on the 15th, and we’re all very excited – although I’ve picked up some of these for J, just in case!

The Brick or Treat will offer meet and greets with Frankie and co. Plus guests can get stuck into a range of themed LEGO builds, solve a spooky quiz trail and show off their best costumes in the daily fancy dress competition.

I said back in 2014 that LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is one of the best places for a Family Day Out – and I still maintain that! I’ve had lots of fun there throughout the years – I’d heartily recommend making your day longer and enjoying Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort!
