On Friday, there was an out of Sky Broadband in Chelmsford, around 75 customers were affected – the broadband was off for over 13 hours, and the Sky Service Status Page here didn’t actually have any mention of it, at all. I asked Sky why this was, and apparently it’s only updated for large outages. I did suggest it should be updated even for small outages and was told that was a ‘good point’, but the page still proclaimed everything was fine and dandy for the duration of the outage.


So if your Sky Broadband isn’t working, and the status page says all is well.. it could be lying to you.
