When I was a teenager I worked at our local Somerfield store at the weekends. It was a pretty sweet job, and fairly easy to do with a hangover. I did most jobs, including trolley collecting, shelf stacking, mostly I was on the checkout. Working on a checkout is a largely thankless task, some people are lovely, others treat you like dirt. One of my favourite incidents occurred on a Friday night around this time, a man, probably my age now came through my till with a basket. This is what came through my till, in this order..
Bottle of Wine
Box of Chocolate
Bunch of Flowers
Ready Meal Dinner for 2
Dessert for 2…
Box of Durex
Looked like he had a cracking night planned!
Happy Weekend Folks!

hehe!!! Makes me wonder if his plan was successful or if he got rejected.
I love how you can tell what people are up to by what they buy in supermarkets.

Haha, lucky girl (or boy!). At least she got the gifts first, although he could have done better than a ready meal! I used to work in Tesco at 16, on the checkouts and on bread and cakes – and I had the muscles to prove it! x
Well you know – less time cooking.. More time..
Drinking wine!
