In the run up to Father’s Day, Daddy Bloggers become prime targets for PR and Marketing folk..

“QUICK!! Send some crap to the Daddy Bloggers we’ve ignored all year – they’ll add us to a gift guide”

Braun though, who I’ve worked with before took a slightly different approach, I got a polite email to confirm my address, and that was it – until last week, a flight case arrived, personalised, with the #artofprecision hashtag beneath my name.

I smiled, this wasn’t some stupid, faceless ‘throw a lot of product and see what sticks’ campaign, someone had taken the time and effort to make something, just for me. This is GOOD.

I spun the case around, and took a look inside, the smile grew and my eyes darted up and down – SO MANY THINGS!!

So, without sounding a bit ‘Brad Pitt’ in Se7en – ‘What’s in the box?’

IMG_3028

Okay – first up is Braun BT5050 Beard Trimmer – whilst I don’t have a beard a little bit of controlled stubble is perfectly acceptable, and this can keep it perfectly under control. It makes it easy to achieve an exact trim length and precise contours, for a perfectly groomed beard.

• It has lifetime lasting sharp blades and 25 length settings for 4 x more precision styling

• The ergonomically-designed dial gives complete control over texture and style thanks to 25 different length settings

• The Precision Comb cuts hairs to between 1mm and 10mm in 0.5mm steps, whilst the Long Beard Comb trims hairs between 10mm and 0mm in 2mm steps

• The slide out Detail Trimmer works even with the comb on for easy and efficient styling of beard lines

• Because it can be used corded or cordlessly it never runs out of power (powerful NI-MH batteries fully charge in an hour for 50 minutes of cordless trimming)

• 100% washable for easy cleaning under running water

Perfect for the #artofprecision !

Next up is the Braun MG5090 Wet and Dry Multi Groomer – Multi Groomer by name, Multi Groomer by nature – it has a shaver and trimmer with three attachments to tidy up around your body. This is the kind of thing you could slip in your washbag before going away and it would keep you covered for a whole trip!

• The extra wide shaver head is equipped with a flexible SmartFoil for a smooth and clean shave in a few strokes

• The twistable trimmer has a wide side for efficient trimming and a narrow side for precise styling of beard lines

• The adjustable Click&Lock comb trims facial hair to four exact lengths (1.2mm, 2.8mm, 4.4mm, 6mm)

• 100% washable for easy cleaning under running water

IMG_3025

This looks fascinating.. the Braun BG5030 Body Groomer – it combines an electric trimmer with a Gillette Fusion razor to give an extremely close shave all over. The trimmer removes the longer hairs and and the razor gives a smooth finish, I’m not convinced I need a ‘swimmer’ finish all over, but this could be handy for ‘general maintenance’.

• Three trimming combs for different lengths: Sensitive, medium and long (0.6 mm, 3 mm and 8 mm)

• Specifically designed sensitive comb to trim delicate areas like the armpit or groin – for worry free trimming for your whole body

• Ideal combination of a powered body trimmer and Gillette Fusion wet shaving technology for all-round body grooming

• Combi mode to trim and shave in one stroke for fast and convenient results

Now the next one terrifies me..

IMG_3026

The Braun Body Grooming Kit BGK7050 is essentially an Epilator – one of those mean bastards that pulls (rips) out the hair from the root. Because the root is removed, the removed hair takes longer to grow back. So the pain isn’t too regular – I’ve given it quick try, and it’s not TOO bad, lots of little prickly-pains.

• The Efficiency Cap effectively removes hair from larger areas, whilst the Sensitive Cap provides precise epilation on smaller, harder-to-reach parts of your body

• Forty tweezers with Close-Grip Technology remove hair as short as 0.5mm (so there’s no awkward regrowth period)

• The Smartlight reveals even the shortest hairs to ensure none are missed and the product works in the shower to complement your existing routine

IMG_3027

The last one could be super handy for a little tidy up in-between hair cuts the Braun HC5010 Hair Clipper. Back in the day I used to do my own hair, buzzed it all over with my clippers, although I get it cut professionally now, the odd trim on the sides is easily achievable now – with #theartofprecision !

• Long lasting sharp blades for the desired haircut. Enhanced hair clipping experience from Braun – ultra sharp secured blades for high performance

• Nine length settings: One smart trimming attachment lets you customise a variety of hair styles in up to eight lengths. Plus an extra short length setting when used without a comb

• Powerful dual battery provides constant power for even hair clipping

• Memory safety lock system conveniently locks and memorises the last used setting

• Fully washable for easy cleaning under running water

• Long lasting sharp blades for the desired haircut. Enhanced hair clipping experience from Braun – ultra sharp secured blades for high performance

• Nine length settings: One smart trimming attachment lets you customise a variety of hair styles in up to eight lengths. Plus an extra short length setting when used without a comb

Braund

The last item in the box was perhaps the most precise, the Braun PT5010 Precision Trimmer – this tiny little battery operated chap allows you to quickly tidy up rogue hairs, or finely tune your look with ease. I love these for sorting out a missed hair, or to tidy up my sideburns every week. They are a must for any chap!

These products are just a drop in the ocean of Braun Grooming products – you can see the whole range here.
