Braun though, who I’ve worked with before took a slightly different approach, I got a polite email to confirm my address, and that was it – until last week, a flight case arrived, personalised, with the #artofprecision hashtag beneath my name.
I smiled, this wasn’t some stupid, faceless ‘throw a lot of product and see what sticks’ campaign, someone had taken the time and effort to make something, just for me. This is GOOD.
I spun the case around, and took a look inside, the smile grew and my eyes darted up and down – SO MANY THINGS!!
So, without sounding a bit ‘Brad Pitt’ in Se7en – ‘What’s in the box?’
Okay – first up is Braun BT5050 Beard Trimmer – whilst I don’t have a beard a little bit of controlled stubble is perfectly acceptable, and this can keep it perfectly under control. It makes it easy to achieve an exact trim length and precise contours, for a perfectly groomed beard.

Next up is the Braun MG5090 Wet and Dry Multi Groomer – Multi Groomer by name, Multi Groomer by nature – it has a shaver and trimmer with three attachments to tidy up around your body. This is the kind of thing you could slip in your washbag before going away and it would keep you covered for a whole trip!

This looks fascinating.. the Braun BG5030 Body Groomer – it combines an electric trimmer with a Gillette Fusion razor to give an extremely close shave all over. The trimmer removes the longer hairs and and the razor gives a smooth finish, I’m not convinced I need a ‘swimmer’ finish all over, but this could be handy for ‘general maintenance’.

Now the next one terrifies me..
The Braun Body Grooming Kit BGK7050 is essentially an Epilator – one of those mean bastards that pulls (rips) out the hair from the root. Because the root is removed, the removed hair takes longer to grow back. So the pain isn’t too regular – I’ve given it quick try, and it’s not TOO bad, lots of little prickly-pains.
• The Efficiency Cap effectively removes hair from larger areas, whilst the Sensitive Cap provides precise epilation on smaller, harder-to-reach parts of your body
• Forty tweezers with Close-Grip Technology remove hair as short as 0.5mm (so there’s no awkward regrowth period)

The last one could be super handy for a little tidy up in-between hair cuts the Braun HC5010 Hair Clipper. The last item in the box was perhaps the most precise, the Braun PT5010 Precision Trimmer – this tiny little battery operated chap allows you to quickly tidy up rogue hairs, or finely tune your look with ease. I love these for sorting out a missed hair, or to tidy up my sideburns every week. They are a must for any chap!
