I got some very exciting news this week, and I’ve been desperate to share it with you! So rather than just blurt it all out in a massive Tweet-thread, or a very long Facebook post, I thought I’d post it here.

You see, I’ve found out that I’m a Revolut Pioneer.

Okay.. So you might not understand immediately what a Revolut Pioneer is, so I thought I’d explain it all. So let’s start at the beginning – what is Revolut?

Revolut is an e-money service which allows users to spend globally without unfair bank fees. Other features include – instant spending notifications, built-in budgeting, instant travel and device insurance, and currency transfers. I’ve been a Revolut user for years now – over three years in fact, back in 2016 I wrote this post about my new found love for Revolut. Since then the company has grown massively and added a tonne of new features.

Here’s how it all works in a nutshell –

Your everyday account

Setup an account in minutes that allows you to hold & exchange up to 29 currencies in the app, without rubbish exchange rates.

Online and offline

Spend with a physical or virtual card tagged to your account.

Your travel companion

Spend abroad without rubbish fees using the real interbank exchange rate.

There’s a really good video on YouTube to show Revolut in action – take a look.

So what is a Revolut Pioneer?

I suppose a Revolut Pioneer is best described as an ‘Ambassador’ role for Revolut. Over the coming weeks, months, and hopefully, years to come I’ll be producing content both here and on the Vlog Channel about Revolut. Showing you all the latest changes and innovations coming out of Revolut’s doors. I’ll be BETA testing new things and will share them with you as soon as I’m allowed.

Because I’m a Revolut Pioneer it means that as well as being able to share things with you, it also means that Kip Hakes.com readers can benefit by getting a FREE standard Revolut Card. I’ll soon have some handy banners on the sidebar with details, but for now, you can join the family and sign-up here. You only get a FREE card if you’re a new user.

Signing up is simple –

  1. Click this link
  2. Enter your mobile number
  3. A text will be sent with a link to download the Revolut app
  4. Create a new account in minutes
  5. Verify your account and top-up at least £10 or local currency equivalent
  6. Order the physical standard card and get the fee refunded

Just in the interest of transparency, as a ‘Thank You’ for pointing my readers in their direction, as a Revolut Pioneer Revolut will give me a small financial reward in return. I don’t receive a ‘salary’ from them, I just get a small kickback for each sign-up. So, if you like my stuff, feel free to get yourself a new Revolut Card, and you’ll be helping me out.

To be honest, Revolut Pioneer or not, I am a VERY happy Revolut customer and have been singing their praises for years. I’ve loved watching the product develop, and can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves! I’ve got some great ideas about some Revolut content of my own to show you how I use it, and also the difference between the accounts that Revolut offer too. I’m at the Top-Tier myself with a ‘Metal’ card which is AMAZING. But for now, that’s my news, and keep your eyes peeled for more Revolut Pioneer content!
