Ease of Use
I got the sunglasses I wanted, at a lower price than ‘offline’, and the ‘Try-On’ system gave a perfectly accurate representation of what they’d look like. You really can’t argue! >If you’re in the market for some new Glasses, or Sunglasses, then give SmartBuyGlasses a go!

The nice people at SmartBuyGlasses got in touch with me and asked if I could write about their service in return for a pair of sunglasses of my choosing. I’m pretty au fait with buying glasses online. I’ve been doing it for a while now – I find there are big savings to be had plus I like browsing online without having a pushy sales assistant pestering you.
Obviously, it’s a little bit tricky to ‘try’ glasses on online – companies get around that in a few different ways. SmartBuyGlasses has a ‘TryOn’ Selfie-View, using your webcam it takes measurements of your head and can provide you with a good idea of how the glasses will look on you. It’s very smart! If you’re using the same browser session you can try on a variety of different glasses and sunglasses. Not all of their stock is available to try on this way – but I found the ones I wanted to look at were.
Here’s how it looks once you’ve been ‘scanned’ –
You simply move the mouse side to side you turn your head. Pretty flipping smart!
I’ve worn a lot of Ray-Bans recently, so thought I would try something a little more ‘out there’ (for me at least). I went for some Gucci Sunglasses . Whilst they are a little bigger than my usual style, they aren’t HUGE and too weird. I could have ordered with a Prescription, but invariably when I wear sunglasses I tend to have contact lenses in.
Once the order was placed the sunglasses arrived in 4 days, which isn’t bad at all.
So.. the moment of truth, would they fit in the same way as the ‘Try On’ system suggested?
It’s pretty spot on!
You have to be super careful when buying designer Sunglasses online, and SmartBuyGlasses don’t sell fakes. From what I’ve seen this is true – these aren’t fake Gucci sunglasses. You can actually verify Ray-Ban resellers on their website, and SmartBuyGlasses are marked as official. There’s not a similar system in place for Gucci, but these are the real deal.
There’s not really much else to say! I got the sunglasses I wanted, at a lower price than ‘offline’, and the ‘Try-On’ system gave a perfectly accurate representation of what they’d look like. You really can’t argue!
