To prevent these feelings, it is important to take care of our phones. All too often, we see people with smashed screens, or bits of tape sticking something together. This is not ideal and affects the way the phone handles. We all know that new phones are not cheap commodities, and it takes time to adjust our phones and set everything up as we like. Use a Phone Case

A phone case is a great way to protect your phone from those inevitable mishaps. Everyone will drop their phone from time to time, and if you are particularly clumsy, then it is only a matter of time before the screen smashes. When this happens, you either have to like with it, perhaps getting glass embedded into your finger every time you use it, or it involves an expensive repair or getting a new phone entirely. Luckily we are not in the days where you have literally one or two phone case choices. There are hundreds of phone case designs out there to suit every taste, and all of them are far less expensive than having to replace a screen over and over again.

Use a Screen Protector

Another great way to prevent those shattering screens is to invest in a screen protector. Screen protectors also prevent you from scratching the screen too, which is always a bonus. Over time scratches become clogged up with dirt and grime and make it more difficult for the phone to read your commands. If you do happen to drop your phone, you will find that it is far more likely to stay intact, even without a case, if you have protected your screen. Just ensure that when you attach the screen protector to your phone, you work out all the air bubbles, which will affect the phone s ability to work properly.

Regular Cleaning

If you want your phone to continue working well into the future, then it makes sense to clean it regularly and safely. Dust always gets into your phone, whether you can see it or not. If too much dust clogs up your innards, your phone will not perform optimally. To prevent this, you need to use a soft cloth to clean your screen with the right kind of screen cleaner. It also makes sense to open up your case and clan in there too. Not only does this process remove dust, but it also removes any bacteria. To clean out the inlets, such as power and earphone inlet, blow into the inlet and remove the dust particles that way. Additionally, you matt want to wipe down your phone regularly with a sanitizing wipe, especially considering we are in the middle of a Pandemic.

Store it Carefully

Back pockets and pockets of handbags which are also used for keys, for example, are not a great idea. Ineffective storage can lead to your phone being stolen or falling out, and the last place you want this to happen is down the toilet. So, when you are out and about, you need to find somewhere safe to store your phone. If you have a handbag, then a soft and dedicated pocket makes sense. For all you gentlemen out there who carry no bag, the inside pocket of a jacket is a safer place.

Phone Storage

There are also pieces of software you can download which help you locate duplicate files which can then be deleted. Another great option is to buy some more storage, such as a larger memory card or use the Cloud. Remember, you can also use an external hard drive too.

Your Apps

As mentioned above, you need to remove all apps that you no longer use. Apps can use up a lot of memory and often result in your processing being slowed too and affecting your battery life. There is no point in having apps running and updating if you are never going to use them. Another thing that is essential is to ensure that you have the most recent versions of the apps you do use. By updating your phone in this way, the apps have better functionality, and they may well be more efficient. New versions are usually far more secure, too, so that is an added bonus. If you haven’t set your phone up to update apps automatically, you can always do it yourself. Just set a reminder, so you remember to do it.
