I’m not going to lie, I’m ITCHING to get my theme park fix. It’s just over a month until they all re-open fully. However, I’m planning on getting a little hit and an Animal Adventure at Chessington World of Adventures Resort this half term. From Saturday 11th February to Sunday 19th February guests can come face to face with over 1,000 exotic animals from across the world. plus As well as this some family favourite rides will be open too!

A walk on the wild side!

I can’t wait for J to see Chessington’s three mischievous Lion Cubs, Kesari, Anala and Ramari who were only born in Autumn 2016. Also in the Trail of the Kings, where the troublesome trio live – we can also walk among jungle giants such as Chessington’s group of Western Lowland Gorillas and Sumatran Tigers. The Resort’s SEA LIFE centre is open as well Wanyama Reserve – home of Meerkats, Lemurs and Zebras. You’ll also have the chance to meet the stars of the Pandamonium Live show, Chessington’s life-like animatronic Panda cubs, who will be out on the Resort to wow guests!

The ride line-up

On the ride front, there are a small selection of them available for Animal Adventures. I’m looking forward to a spin on Sea Dragons and Seastorm. J also enjoys a little drive on the Tiny Truckers, which is open. The Dragon’s Playhouse and Canopy Capers will be open for little ones to explore. As well as that, the AMAZU Treetop Adventure and Hocus Pocus Hall complete the line-up.

All this fun is only £15 per person if you book online in advance, or £16 at the Resort on the day – under threes go free! The resort will be open from 10am – 4pm. Merlin Annual Pass Holders can enter the Resort for free too, however capacity for Animal Adventures is limited – so don’t arrive too late!

Oh help, oh no…

2017 is going to be a big year for Chessington with the arrival of a new ride – The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure. Kids and parents alike will be able to join Mouse on a picturesque riverboat journey through the deep dark wood, when The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure opens on Saturday March 18, 2017. As park-goers float down the lazy river, the world of The Gruffalo will magically unfold in front of their eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way.

I can’t wait to pop over to Chessington World of Adventures Resort for some Animal Adventures this half term. It’s an absolute steal at £15 and a great way to explore some of the resort. It’s fantastic for little adventurers to get their first look at the resort, with hopefully smaller than normal queues.
