So – Thorpe Park Resort have just announced the name of their new attraction for 2017 – Derren Brown’s Ghost Train : Rise of the Demon.

The beauty of having a ride that uses Virtual Reality, is that it can be tweaked, altered, and refined. This is exactly what Thorpe Park Resort have done with Derren Brown’s Ghost Train : Rise of the Demon. Whilst not much else is in the public domain at the moment, aside from the name, and cryptic video. It’s positive to see that instead of leaving the ride ‘as-is’ year after year, it’s had a refresh for 2017.
What can you expect?
The ‘Destination’ suggests a different ending entirely. I’m very much looking forward to see where Derren Brown’s mind will take us. Thorpe Park Resort are being cagey about specifics, and rightly so, a lot of the fun is the shock and fear of what’s coming next. It will be good if they can leave guests with their hearts racing, and minds blown.
I imagine their will also be some increased reliability within the ride technology of Derren Brown’s Ghost Train : Rise of the Demon too. VR is developing fast, and having such fresh technology in a ride, that cycles thousands of guest per day is a risk. Thorpe Park Resort are determined to make guest experience as good as it can be on such an innovative ride, and I don’t think they’ll disappoint.
